ADVOCACY FOR ACCESS TO QUALITY CHILD CARE: Advocating for Increased eligibility funding.

Misti Norman, owner of Heavenly Kids Center for Learning, and a CC: B-3 Director, makes a cogent argument, advocating to increase eligibility for publically-funded child care. Presently, working families who often earn just $10 or $20 a month too much don't qualify for subsidized child care. Currently, Ohio is the second most-restrictive eligibility standard in the country, offering this benefit only to families earning 130% of the federal poverty level or less. The editorial by Ms Norman appeared in the Columbus Dispatch on May 30, 2019 and can be accessed by highlighting the following link: op-ed.
